The Computer Center, located on the second floor in the east side of the building, includes 21 computers for public use and 11 laptops that can be used in the library (Requires a photo ID, limited to 2 hours per day). Each of those computers provides access to the Microsoft Office suite of products (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Word) as well as access to the internet. Printing is available on all computers for 10 cents per page for black & white printouts and $.50 per page for color. Use of the computers is free to Oak Lawn residents that present a valid library card. Residents must obtain a library card to use the computer center for free.
A free 10 minute "Walk-Up Station" is available for checking email or printing documents. As a courtesy non-residents may present a valid library card to receive one hour of computer time free. Non-residents may purchase a visitor pass for $1.00 per logon (one hour) for extended use. Non-residents may also opt to purchase a "punch card" for $10 for 12 hours of computer time.
There is a limit of one login per day. Time may be reset, by presenting library card to staff, when computers are available.
A picture ID is required to reset the password on any account.
